Difference Between United States Green Card and Citizenship

 

The United states is made up of several ethnicities and cultures. Although the united states was built on the foundation of immigrants, there are still restrictions on who and how many can enter the United States as immigrants.

 

Green card holder and citizenship are different, although they have some similarities.

If you are a US citizen you can live there forever and vote. For green card holders, you can only live there if your green card is valid and you don’t commit any offense.

There are 3 ways you can obtain permanent residency in the US. One its through petition to the immigration department through a spouse, family member or employer. The second way is through asylum or refugee status. The third method is through winning a visa lottery.
